In This Land by Theakman2 In This Land by Theakman2
I wanted this image to have a realistic feel to it, so I had to go about making it differently than I usually do. It took me around 7 hours to make, but I'm pleased with the results.

I will probably go back to architectural images after this one...

if the mountains had less shine and more texture on the top it would have looked exactly like it was completely hand drawn!

The ONLY 3d landscape I have ever liked.
Too bad its so small...oh well! Wonderful job. My only problem is the mountains which seem to appear in too many 3d images.

Having downloaded Vue 4 Proffesional i can see the amount of work that went into this! It all came together really well, as this shows. I've been playing about with it a bit myself, i'm very impressed. I may purchase the full product. Thanks for letting me find this piece of software!

I like the atmosphere in this one. The slightly yellowish, almost brown touch to it. I think you should do more pictures like these. How about some phantasy landscapes? (If you can't think of any, I have so many of them in my head I can't draw, I'd be very willing to share them and see them drawn...) But what am I saying? I bet that was pretty shameless of me. ;P

Draw whatever you like! I most certainly love this picture!

Nice..only thing i see a little weird is the..shinyness of the main mountain in the back. slap a matte texture or something similar on that and it'll look a little more realistic. the rest is sound. Great stuff.

Hi,

I used Vue D'esprit, Terragen (for the terrain) and Photoshop. Thanks for the comment by the way!

Also, thank you VERY much to everybody else who's commented on my piece and faved it! I've never received so many favourites and comments before!

What software? Doesn't look like bryce or terragen. Is it just photoshop/painter/gimp?

Great job! :)
